Thanks to the resounding success of our Giving Ornament campaign over Christmas, we were able to donate $650 to Andy’s House Hospice in Port Carling. We are hoping to make this an annual fundraiser and are already looking for next year’s ornament. Based on the success of the Cardinal, we may have those available again too, as we know some people missed out because they sold out quickly.
For the past five years, we have also been contributing to our Pay it Forward campaign to help build a Memory Garden at Andy’s House, and much of that project came to fruition this past summer and fall and we were able to donate $5,000 worth of plants, trees and materials to the project.
It just goes to show that when you support a local business, that business can help support the community!
